Dear Colleagues,

An Austrian proverb says „Gut Ding braucht Weile" (Quality needs patience). Since 2010 my first participation in an NCURA Annual Meeting I have attended nearly all AMs because of the outstanding quality, continouing strive for excellence in research administration and encouraging spirit of the NCURA Communities.

Now it is my  great pleasure to announce the global workshop „Fundamentals of US Sponsored Project Administration" in Vienna, Austria on September 18-19, 2017.

The goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge and understanding of European researchers as well as international research administrators about the US federal grants (e.g. NIH, NSF)  that are open worldwide. The workshop presenters Leslie Schmidt (Montana State University, U.S.) and Eva Björndal (Karolinska Institutet, SE) are  distinguished experts from the NCURA Global Faculty and the BILAT USA 4.0 EU initiative. This workshop is specifically geared for international research managers and administrators (pre- and post-award) with a basic or intermediate level of experiences with U.S. grants who want to achieve the next level of excellence.

The venue TU Wien is located in the centre of Vienna, Austria a cosmopolitan city of great cultural diversity. For more information please visit the workshop website: www.tuwien.ac.at/en/services/eu_research_support/us_ncura_workshop_2017
