    In the last 50 years, the number of deaths in the United States for cardiovascular problems has decreased drastically, the same has happened with cancer, infectious diseases… Conversely, brain diseases problems are increasing, at the same time social annoyance due to demographic change is also growing. European initiatives like the Human Brain Project and American such as the BRAIN Initiative, are already working on the area aiming to get a better knowledge about what makes us humans and to develop new technologies for the study of neuronal circuits and cellular interaction, in order to create a dynamic picture which explains it in a revolutionary way.

    In the present event, co-organized by B·Debate an the Guttmann Institute, international leaders in subjects related to mental health, from psychologists to bioengineers, will be gathered to debate about actuality of the field and raise different questions in order to foster discussion. It will be given special emphasis in fields related to interpretation about which are the main modulators in brain development form infancy and implications of mental health, and what affects it, in terms of public health, education and clinic. This debate has as a main objective to interconnect experiences and knowledge to establish new and innovative approaches, aiming to find solutions and new ways to see the problems of the society in which we live.
