Dear Colleagues,
NYU Abu Dhabi is currently conducting a benchmark study to determine how we compare with other institutions in terms of the level of internal research funding (startup packages, annual allocations, etc.) that we provide to our faculty members. There are certainly many deciding factors when considering an appropriate amount for a faculty member, such as the experience a faculty member brings, the nature of the research, region of the world, etc. However, we would just like to get a general sense of what other institutions are doing, particularly at institutions that have similar divisions as NYU Abu Dhabi. We currently have four academic divisions: Arts & Humanities, Engineering, Science, and Social Science.
If you have access to such information, I would greatly appreciate it if you could complete a short survey which can be found at the link below. It should take no more than 10 minutes. The survey is anonymous and you will not be asked to identify your institution by name.
