The "Destination Europe'" conference is scheduled for Dec 12-13, 2013, at the InterContinental San Francisco Hotel (http://www.intercontinentalsanfrancisco.com/). This conference provides information on funding and career opportunities in Europe for researchers from anywhere in the world, including the U.S., as well as offering insight into European research initiatives.
Major European funding mechanisms (such as the European Research Council and the Marie Curie Fellowship program) and individual European nations' research programs will be discussed.
In addition to plenary sessions, which will present the major European funding opportunities for individual researchers, there will be six thematic breakout sessions focusing on the following specific research topics:
- Health and Biosciences
- Geophysics and Ocean Science
- Social Sciences and Humanities
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Physics and Materials
- Environment and Climate Change
Who should attend:
- Researchers, of any nationality, who are considering their next career move in Europe
- International officers of universities / research organizations
