Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, is the
world's largest funding program for research projects. With a € 77 billion (approximately US$100 billion) budget, it offers many possibilities for researchers and innovators of all different fields from around the world - international cooperation, particularly U.S. involvement, is highly encouraged.
This webinar will deal with:
- The general structure of Horizon2020
- The outlook on legal and financial terms and conditions
- The possibilities specifically for U.S. researchers
The presenter will be Olaf Ripken, the German National Contact Point for International Cooperation for European Commission funding.
This webinar will be the first of a series of BILAT USA 2.0 webinars. This webinar will provide a general overview of Horizon2020 and its opportunities for U.S. researchers. The next four webinars will focus on the four priority areas for EU-U.S. cooperation - (1) Marine and Arctic Research; (2) Transport; (3) Nanosciences/technologies Material Production (NMP); (4) and Health - and they will provide specific details the actual calls for proposals in these priority areas.
