    Hello everyone,

We would like to know if anyone has had to suspend operations or miss a deliverable deadline due to civil unrest or other hazardous conditions in a foreign country where you have a federally funded sponsored project.  We are not able to find a “force majeure” clause in the Department of State Standard Terms and Conditions, and were wondering if anyone else has found themselves needing the benefit of such a clause in any federally funded financial assistance and how you resolved the issue.

    Thank you for your input!

    Hi Dawn,

I was wondering if you received any response to your query off-line or on another forum. There is no force majeure language in our Department of State or CDC cooperative agreements for international work. But to my knowledge we haven't had a force majeure situation. (Knock on wood...)
