    Dear Compliance and Global Community,

I reviewed a proposal that includes provision for housing and daily payment to workers that will be digging at a non-U.S. location, and I have some questions for the Community (please help). Does your institution have policy/procedure on insurance coverage over all occupants in rental housing and auto/truck that is contracted for faculty use and how do you manage making clear that contracted people are not employees?  If you have guidance or have run across guidance please share, I'm looking for a checklist or policy/procedure on the kinds of activity that would occur in anthropology-related research (e.g., excavation/digging, payment for services, group housing arrangements, etc.). Thanks so much!
