International Workshop Part 3: Theoretical and Methodological Characteristics of the Study of Social Inequalities
Call for Participants
The Juan Marinello Cuban Institute of Cultural Research convenes the 3rd Workshop on Theoretical and Methodological Characteristics of the Study of Social inequalities, to take place from Wednesday, December 12th to Friday, December 14th, 2018.
In December 2016 and 2017, Parts I and II of this workshop took place with the participation of researchers from Brazil, Colombia, United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Mexico, Japan and Cuba, which discussed through a set of lectures and conferences an analysis of several inequalities; generational, territorial, racial, ethnic, gender-based, and economic, among others, affecting our societies from theoretical and methodological perspectives. In this third edition, we will continue with the knowledge exchange among colleagues on these and other topics that could be included with a focus on on the theoretical and methodological.
Those interested in participating; sociologists, anthropologists, social psychologists, economists, scientists, demographers and other science disciplines, particularly those outside of Cuba, must send the following information before September 4th, 2018:
- Full Name
- Institutional affiliation
- Country
- Title and summary of the paper (a paragraph of no more than 20 lines. Font size 12, Time News Roman).
- Curricular synthesis (a paragraph of no more than 10 lines. Font size 12, Time News Roman)
- The presentation should be handed out during the event sessions (Length: 10 – 12 pages. Format: Font type and size: Time News Roman 12, Line Spacing: 1.5)
From September 5 to 8, organizers of the event will send notifications regarding acceptance.
