Global Community

In a recent meeting at my institution, I asked attendees to share two things: training needs/wants and something for which they were thankful.  Much to my surprise and delight, the pile of thanksgiving topics well exceeded the stack of training needs.

Thanksgiving 

I wanted to take a moment to share some of the things for which Colorado State University staff were thankful.

• I am thankful for my family, my friends, my life
• Supportive & fun co-workers
• Thankful for having a healthy and able body
• I'm thankful for the great group of people we work with here in Sponsored Programs
• My kiddos
• Thankful to be getting to know Sponsored Programs folks better. 
• Thankful for my baby girl on the way
• Thankful for Fridays and a day or two without craziness
• Sunshine, friends, smiles
• Thankful for patience & tolerance and my family
• Thankful for working with a group of people that have positive attitudes and are collaborative and willing to share knowledge and expertise

I echo the sentiment of the thanksgiving topics shared above.  While I miss my friends, family, and colleagues back in Ohio and in Region IV, my first two months at CSU have been wonderful.  I can truly say that my CSU and NCURA colleagues have made my transition here a good one.  I want to extend my thanks to NCURA, the global working group, and the global community for your patience during my transition- thank you for your support, your ideas, your thoughtful input, your guidance and for letting me share with you.
