I work in the central office at Arizona State University reviewing and approving recharge center proposed rates. Travel costs for conferences are a frequent topic. What is your policy for including travel costs in recharge center rates?
Currently, I ask if the travel is directly related to the recharge center activities.
- If they say yes, should I let that travel cost get included in the recharge center rates?
- Should I ask for documentation about the conference to attempt to verify that the topic(s) appear to directly relate to the recharge center activities?
