Cost Sharing – Is it Real Anymore?Mandatory cost share, voluntary cost share, matching, institutional contribution, institutional commitment, and on and on it goes…….If you have been active in the research-costing world very long at all, you have heard all of these terms; and probably every one of them creates a little heartburn or causes an involuntary tic. In the early and mid-2000s, every institution went searching for all the information they could find on cost share, and wrote institutional policies to try and address this animal. Now we are fifteen years down the road. Is this still the same beast that it once was? Did the Uniform Guidance change cost share regulations? Did our policies work? Do our campuses still have exposure due to cost share regulations and requirements? Where do the federal negotiators from the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Cost Allocation Services (CAS) stand on cost share and the F&A proposal? Be a part of the cost share conversation! Let's discuss the impacts of cost share on our industry today, what our efforts in this arena have accomplished in the last decade, along with……where institutions go from here.Learning Objectives - This workshop is a cradle to grave look at cost share. Topics of discussion and participant learning will include:
Prerequisite- Basic knowledge of cost share & research administration
Program level- IntermediateRegistration is now open - if you have already registered for the conference, you can easily add these exciting workshops! See our website for step-by-step instructions on how to do this: https://www.ncura.edu/nacca/Education/Pre-ConferenceWorkshops.aspx.
