As you probably know, the eRA and AI Collaborate working groups recently distributed a survey to gather information on AI awareness and use among our membership. We wanted to follow-up with a discussion on this platform. It is our hope that members will share their thoughts and experiences around using AI for research administration.
Can you share a specific task or process in research administration where AI has been particularly useful for you? What specific AI tools or software did you use, and how did they directly benefit or improve your work? Does your institution make AI tools and resources accessible internally or are you using publicly available platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot?
We also wanted to share the attached article about using generative AI for proposal writing that was recently published in PLoS and may be of interest to this community and PIs. We welcome any thoughts in response to the article.
