I want to thank Bruno for facilitating the discussion "Toward A Global Agenda: Joint Funding Mechanism" this afternoon (3/10). While conversations are being held around how to strengthen collaboration, policies, and processes for research primarily led by researchers from developed nations that have the funding capacity and infrastructure, I believe that building capacity for institutions and researchers in the Global South is also an important part of the agenda. Today, we talked about key global research areas like public health (Ebola, COVID-19), deforestation, education, etc. How do we start to build the case for funding and collaboration for the Global South? What resources are available to support or at least build awareness about this topic of discussion?
