NCURA-Approved Research Invitation from a 2025 NCURA Research Program Awardee

*As part of NCURA's commitment to supporting research, we are sharing the following invitation from a 2025 NCURA Research Program Awardee whose study focuses on the research administration workforce*

We invite all individuals who support research administration whether in pre-award, post-award, compliance, finance, operations, or a related role to participate in this research study titled "Retention Factors, Skills, and Career Advancement in Research Administration," conducted by a research team at Washington University in St. Louis. Your responses will be anonymous, and no identifiable information will be collected.

The online survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. To participate, click here: Research Administration Study Survey

The purpose of this study is to better understand the factors, skills, and competencies that support professional satisfaction, retention, and career advancement across research administration and research support roles.

Each perspective is valuable and will be included in a comprehensive report that will help inform future tools and strategies to support the research administration workforce. The more responses we receive, the more useful this information will be for everyone, and we hope you will consider sharing your voice. Results will be shared once available.

While your participation is voluntary, it is encouraged for all these collective reasons. We hope you will consider taking part. The survey will close on March 31 (end of day).

    Optional Gift Card Lottery
To thank participants, you may optionally enter a gift card lottery by completing a separate one-question survey here: Gift Card Lottery Entry . This gift-card entry survey is completely separate from the main study survey and will not be associated with your survey responses.

Thank you for your time and contribution.

If you have any questions about this survey, please contact any member of the study team:

    Andy Andromede Uwase (uwase@... ), Chance Grannan (bcgrannan@... ), or Olga Kipnis (olga.kipnis@... ).
