  • 1.  Has anyone installed Vandalizer on local hardware

    Posted 18 days ago

    Hello,

We have reviewed Vandalizer's technical specifications and self-hosting documentation. Before working with our IT colleagues to assign the necessary hardware and support resources, we would like to learn from institutions with real-world implementation experience.

Introducing Vandalizer: An AI Tool Built for Research Administration

Has anyone installed Vandalizer on institution-owned local hardware? If so, we would appreciate learning about your actual configuration, implementation effort, ongoing support needs, unexpected challenges, and lessons learned.

We would be especially interested in experiences with locally hosted AI models or OCR, system performance under regular use, and any differences between the documented requirements and the resources ultimately needed.  We have a homegrown eRA and want to expand.

If you are willing to share your experience or connect for a brief conversation, please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hello Thomas and Youyou!

Yes, we have installed Vandalizer at Southern Utah University in the local environment. @Nathan Wiggins is our implementation expert. If you'd like, I'll follow up with him and we can schedule a meeting to talk all things Vandalizer (which we have branded at our university as "DGX SPARC".)

I'm happy to include any and all who are interested, just reply to this email chain and we'll send out a When2Meet and get it on our calendars.

    All the best,

    ~Sylvia

Absolutely - let's give the thread a week (or so) to see if anyone else is interested, and then I will reach out directly and we can coordinate.  Thank you so much!
