Dear all,

We have a PI who plans an application to a DoD medical program call and he would like to include a partnering PI in the application. May the partnering PI be from the same organization as the main PI or has the partnering PI to come from a different organization?

I would be grateful for some help with this. Thank you.

Partnering PIs can be from the same organization. I suppose a specific funding opportunity could limit to outside of the Initiating PI organization but it should be pretty clear if they have such a restriction. You'll want to follow the program call guidelines as well as the CDMRP general guidelines. Either way, the Partnering PI will have a separate (abbreviated) application with a separate budget and the two will be connected with the eBRAP number from the pre-proposal. Both PIs need to be registered in eBRAP but only the Initiating PI completes the pre-application.
