US Federal Funding: Maintaining Eligibility in SAM.gov Workshop

Non-U.S. institutions often face challenges with SAM (System for Award Management) registration. Frequent errors and unclear guidance make it difficult to maintain active status over time. The complexity of U.S. regulations adds to the frustration, making it harder for these institutions to avoid and resolve issues efficiently. This session will help our members with this complex process.

The learning objectives are the following:

Understand the Purpose of SAM.gov: Define SAM.gov and its role in government contracting and federal assistance. Explain the importance of registering in SAM.gov for organizations seeking federal contracts or grants.

Learn How to Register an Organization on SAM.gov: Identify the step-by-step process of creating a SAM.gov account. Understand the key requirements and documentation needed for first-time registration.

Explore Best Practices for Maintaining SAM.gov Registration: Learn how to maintain an active SAM.gov registration and the importance of annual renewal. Discover strategies to avoid common registration mistakes that may cause delays or ineligibility.

Identify and Troubleshoot Common Errors in SAM.gov: Recognize common errors organizations make during registration and renewal. Learn how to troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted eligibility for government contracts or grants.

These objectives focus on helping both first-time and returning registrants navigate the SAM.gov system efficiently.
