Welcome Part II and a few useful resources

Hello Research Administration friends and colleagues,

I wanted to join my colleague and 2025 Collaborate Vice Chair, Laura Pattillo, in welcoming you to our new Collaborate Community.  We hope that you find this a valuable space to share information, commiserate with colleagues, and maybe even find a little lightness in these very uncertain times for Research Administration.

Also, I wanted to share a few of the resources that I've been using to keep up with the latest developments in case they may be useful to others:

    • Jeremy Berg's Bluesky account has been an invaluable resource about all things NIH.  Jeremy is a former NIGMS director and over the past month has been tireless in his efforts to share his deep knowledge of the inner workings of NIH with the public.  He also shares pics of his dogs and funny memes sometimes, which are a nice break from the firehose of anxiety-inducing news content.

    • For those want to keep up on the fast and furious legal proceedings, CourtListener (https://www.courtlistener.com) is a site run by the Free Law Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit, where you can search for case documents.

Happy Friday, everyone, and I look forward to connecting with you in this space in the days to come!

    Best,

    Jen Lech

    2025 Collaborate Chair
