    Hello.

Welcome to the new Collaborate Community: The Changing Federal Landscape. Even before the current administration took office, the Federal Landscape that governs research was changing. Now, it seems to be changing at a faster pace since 2025 started. For many of us, it has gotten to be so fast that it has become hard to keep up with the changes. On top of that, understanding the changes becomes paramount to ensure our PIs are staying compliant with the law. Yet, another layer of confusion gets added as changes are challenged in court or changed within a second of grasping it in the first place.

As we work to grasp these changes, we felt it would be a great idea to create a place where we could network to pass along information about changes in the federal landscape (regulations, policies, etc.) and help each other understand them. We welcome you to this new Collaborate Community. We invite you to post articles and questions about the changing Federal Landscape. Open discussion is strongly encouraged to bring about knowledge and understanding of the ever-changing Federal Landscape that impacts research administration.

Have a great day & happy discussion,

    Laura Pattillo, Collaborate Co-Chair
