Hi Rachael, while I definitely understand these concerns, I do not recommend making any changes to this proposed subaward. During this time, we should try to be as good of partners to each other as possible. Great research is still being conducted at these institutions, and if they are a subrecipient, that means they are contributing significantly to the project. In addition, the FDP templates should sufficiently address any project or subaward termination concerns without needing to incorporate any additional language.
That's my current stance; anyone have any different takes?

Subject: Potential Impact of Subaward with University Under Funding Restrictions
Has anyone reconsidered their willingness to include a subaward with a university currently facing a potential funding freeze? Could this situation impact your institution in any way, or is the risk mitigated since funds are routed through the prime recipient? We have an upcoming R01 application in June where the PI is proposing a subaward with one of these universities, and we're trying to assess any potential implications.
