Dearest NCURA colleagues,
I need your help in completing a brief (~10 minute) survey as part of my requirements for an MS degree in Research Administration and Compliance (RAC) at the City University of New York. I am conducting a study around mental health effects on research administrators during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the survey, participants will be asked to answer sections of multiple-choice questions about your work environment during the pandemic and some brief mental health questions.
Note that this survey is anonymous, meaning you will not be asked to provide any personally identifiable information. It does not require IRB review. I therefore strongly encourage you to participate and be completely candid in your answers.
I believe that this study has the potential to help shape workplace and hiring practices related to our research administration workforce, with the goals of increased staff retention, job satisfaction, and mental well-being.
While this pandemic was the greatest proof-of-concept for remote work (including most RA functions), we do not yet fully realize all the impacts this period had on mental health.
