Csilla M. Csaplár is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research at University of California, Santa Cruz, where she is responsible for oversight of multiple units supporting research administration, policy, and compliance within the Office of Research. Prior to her position at UCSC, Csilla's experience includes leadership and research management roles at Stanford University, supporting and managing lifecycle research, contract and grant administration, policy development, and academic and financial operations. In addition to her research administration leadership at UCSC, Csilla has been extensively involved in leadership, teaching, and volunteer roles with the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP), as well as participation in the Council on Governmental Relations. She is an NCURA Distinguished Educator, and currently serves as the Chair of NCURA’s Nominating and Leadership Development Committee.
